First of all, thank you for even coming to my little blog and reading this page in the first place - my hat (which I'm not even wearing right now) is off to you.

Like seemingly every other foodblogger out there, I label myself as a  writer, photographer, and passionate cook.

I grew up in Westminster, California right next to Little Saigon, and currently attend college in the scenic (and I mean it) Central Coast in San Luis Obispo, studying business.

My family owns several Vietnamese restaurants.

Once our house finally got cable when I was eight, I watched cooking shows every Saturday instead of cartoons.  When I was nine I started on my journey to becoming an avid abuser of the kitchen.

Alton Brown and Ina Garten taught me how to cook.  Anthony Bourdain, Thomas Keller, Tom Colicchio, and all of the people who have done great things in the world because of food make me wake up each day.  Nigella Lawson and Laura Calder are my foodie crushes.  Guy Fieri and Sandra Lee are on my culinary hit list (this doesn't count as a threat I can get arrested for, can it?)

When I was thirteen I got my first camera phone, and became a walking Asian stereotype, taking pictures of absolutely everything.

By 10th grade I inherited my dad's Nikon, and included avid camera abuser on my list of hobbies.

I'm currently in a quarter life crisis.

In June of 2009 I started this blog... It took two years for me to finally start nurturing it.  It is my journal.  It is my pride.
